Each Block is 12.5 inches square. The sashing is 3 inches and the border is 9 inches. I wanted to make a quilt from free embroidery files I had found on the internet. This is what I came up with.
This beautiful quilt is entirely machine made. The applique is done on an embroidery machine so all of the stitches are even. The back of the quilt is white. This quilt is very heavily quilted. Each block is 11 inches with a 1 inch border.

I started this quilt several years ago and finished in 2004. I started the applique by hand and then finished by machine. The back of the quilt is white. The quilting is hearts and stippling.
Dear Jane Quilt

This quilt was a work in progress for a very long time. I didn't buy enough when I purchased this fabric (hate it when that happens). My Mother-in-Law was kind enough to drive to Lancaster, PA and hunt down the fabric so that I would have enough. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I like the look of the older quilts because they are quilted to death. That is the look I wanted when I started quilting this one. The design is based on the Jane Stickle quilt.

This is my winter quilt. I like to have square quilts for my bed because it doesn't matter which way you start to make the bed the quilt is always turned the right way. I bought the fabrics I used in this quilt at an auction.

I was inspired to make this quilt when I saw a similar top at an auction. I made it using fabrics that had a vintage look. The machine quilting is done in an allover pattern. The back of the quilt is blue sateen pictured below. Each block is 8 1/2 inches square.

This lovely quilt is perfect for the baby's room. Machine embroidered and quilted. This would be great to give as a gift. The back of the quilt is white. Heavily quilted this one will stand up to the repeated washing.

This is one of my favorite quilts. This is made from fabrics I purchased in Lancaster, PA from an Amish merchant. The colors are vivid and the blocks look like they are floating on a black background. Each block measures 8 inches. The back of the quilt is black. Entirely machine made. The border is crosshatched and the remainder is stippled.

This is one of the first quilts I made. The seams don't quilt line up and the quilting could be better. This is really the quilt that started my obsession with quilting and led to all of this. Because of it I have learned how to machine quilt, machine embroidery and design web pages.

Each block is 5.5 inches square with a one inch green border. The cream bias is 2 inches. There is a 2 inch green border and a 9 inch triangle border. The back of the quilt is orange. This was made as a Christmas present, I had quilted a message in the quilting, but even I can't find it anymore.

I purchased this quilt at an auction. It is made from sateen fabric so it has a beautiful sheen and a very soft feel. I really enjoy having this quilt. I wish the maker had put a lable on it so that I could give her the credit. This quilt is beautifly done and the hand quilting is stunning. It is hard to see in the pictures but the area around the rose is done in freehand feathers.

Unfortunately this quilt does not photograph well. It is made from a quilt kit. Hand quilted with a cotton batting it is very soft. It has the look of old quilts that I enjoy. I have another kit similar to this one. I'm going to try using colored thread to show off the quilting.
