It's easy to make and fun to have out. Download the templates for this quilt and make one for yourself. Those of you who know me personally may understand the symbolic nature of this quilt. I think the hearts represent the different stages of my heart. I used a pattern I call “Van Gough’s Wind” a lot in this quilt. I adapted the pattern from his “Starry Night” painting. It represents the turbulence I have felt for the last couple of years. Some of the hearts are divided with different quilting patterns one each side. They represent when I felt opposing emotions at the same time. Some have very jagged edges. And, others that I think represent where I am now, have feathers and leaves growing out of them. I don't think I will live long enough to make all the quilts I have ideas for, but I'm going to give it my best effort. I count myself lucky to have found my passion in life. You hear about people saying "If I won the lottery I would travel!" Not me! I would spend my time quilting. I do have a day job to finance my quilting. I work for a small financial company as their network administrator. I guess I am truely blessed because I also enjoy what I do for a living. You can really see the difference from the Decker line and the Standard Rat Terrier.
